An update from Les and Ruthie:
We’re OK for now. The storm is still off shore and starting to affect NYC and New Jersey where they expect serious flooding, due to the storm surge and the new moon in addition to wind gusts up to 90 mph. The wind is starting to pick up here and we are told to expect the winds to increase as the day goes on and continuous heavy rains for a couple days.
Our biggest fear is that we will most probably be without power later. Fortunately it is warm for the time of year.
Hoping that we will have TV and internet for today at least!
Technically we live in Oaktree House, but sadly the tree had to go.
We now have a thriving Oakstump at the front of the house.
